Colour as a Quiet Anchor — Demo Journal

Start with one deliberate colour
A limited palette can give a collection room to breathe. In these sample arrangements, ivory surfaces carry the softer changes in light, while cobalt blue creates a clear point of attention. The blue does not need to occupy much of the frame to give the image direction.
In Paper Arc, the curve establishes the main gesture. The disk introduces a smaller, flatter shape, keeping the eye moving between an object that rises from the surface and one that rests against it. Colour connects the two without making them compete.
Repeat an idea, change the material
A visual connection becomes more interesting when it survives a change of subject. Paper offers a broad, continuous surface; brush bristles create a much finer rhythm. Carrying the blue accent from one arrangement to the other gives the sequence a familiar note while leaving each object its own character.
